Convert HEIC (iPhone) Photos to JPG

Make your iPhone photos open on every device and every website.

🔒 Your files never leave your device: the conversion runs in your browser.

    How it works

    1. Click “Choose files” or drop your files into the box.
    2. Adjust the options if needed (quality, resolution, pages…).
    3. Click “Convert”: everything happens on your device, in a few seconds.
    4. Download the result (or all files at once as a .zip).

HEIC to JPG : what to know

Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC, which is more compact but poorly supported by Windows, Android and many online forms. Converting to JPG fixes that. Photos are decoded in your browser, so your personal pictures are never uploaded. Decoding HEIC takes some computing: allow a second or two per photo.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I stop my iPhone from using HEIC?

In Settings > Camera > Formats, choose “Most Compatible”: new photos will be JPG. Photos already taken stay HEIC.

    Do the photos lose quality?

Very little: at 92% quality the difference is invisible. The JPG file is a bit larger than the HEIC, though.

Is the photo information (date, location) kept?

No, the conversion creates an image without metadata. That's actually a plus for sharing a photo without revealing where it was taken.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion is done by your browser, on your computer or phone: your files are never sent over the Internet or kept by Tooleon. You can even go offline once the page has loaded.

    Is it really free?

Yes: free, no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on conversions. The site is funded by ads.
