Convert PDF to Word

Turn a PDF into a Word document (.docx) you can edit, without uploading your file anywhere.

🔒 Your files never leave your device: the conversion runs in your browser.

    How it works

    1. Click “Choose files” or drop your files into the box.
    2. Adjust the options if needed (quality, resolution, pages…).
    3. Click “Convert”: everything happens on your device, in a few seconds.
    4. Download the result (or all files at once as a .zip).

PDF to Word : what to know

The converter reads the text on each page of the PDF, rebuilds lines and paragraphs, and creates a .docx file that opens in Word, LibreOffice, Google Docs or Pages. Each PDF page starts on a new page in the Word document. Fine formatting (columns, tables, images, fonts) is not reproduced: the goal is clean text you can work with.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?

No: a scanned PDF only contains pictures of pages, with no text. That requires optical character recognition (OCR). The converter tells you when a PDF has no text.

    Is the layout preserved?

Text, paragraphs and page breaks are kept. Tables, columns and images are not: it's the best option to get the content of a PDF back into an editable document.

Can I convert several PDFs at once?

Yes: select several files and you get one Word document per PDF, to download one by one or all at once in a .zip.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion is done by your browser, on your computer or phone: your files are never sent over the Internet or kept by Tooleon. You can even go offline once the page has loaded.

    Is it really free?

Yes: free, no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on conversions. The site is funded by ads.
