Convert Word to PDF

Turn a Word file (.docx) into a clean PDF with selectable text, without sending it to a server.

🔒 Your files never leave your device: the conversion runs in your browser.

    How it works

    1. Click “Choose files” or drop your files into the box.
    2. Adjust the options if needed (quality, resolution, pages…).
    3. Click “Convert”: everything happens on your device, in a few seconds.
    4. Download the result (or all files at once as a .zip).

Word to PDF : what to know

The document is laid out on A4 pages (headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and images), then your browser saves it as a PDF: choose “Save as PDF” in the dialog that opens. Text stays sharp and selectable, unlike converters that turn pages into pictures. Headers, footers and very complex layouts may look different from Word.

    Frequently asked questions

Why does a print dialog open?

That's what creates the PDF: choose “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF” on Windows) as the printer, then Save. Nothing is printed on paper.

    Are old .doc files supported?

No, only .docx (Word 2007 and later). Open the .doc file in Word or LibreOffice and save it as .docx.

Will the PDF look exactly like the Word file?

The content is the same; the layout can differ slightly (fonts, margins, headers and footers). For an exact match, use File > Save As > PDF in Word itself.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion is done by your browser, on your computer or phone: your files are never sent over the Internet or kept by Tooleon. You can even go offline once the page has loaded.

    Is it really free?

Yes: free, no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on conversions. The site is funded by ads.
